Soil Disease Analysis

PreDicta B is optimised for Australian cereal production and provides growers with high quality, accurate and reliable information to assist in making more effective and timely management decisions to reduce the impact of soilborne diseases on crop yields and improve financial returns.  This is done by detecting and quantifying the levels of the major soilborne pathogens and nematodes that cause root disease in cereal crops, providing a comprehensive pre-sowing risk profile.

 A single PreDicta B test cannot test for all pathogens and nematodes in the soil, but each test does report on the incidence of the major root disease causing organisms of cereal crops that reduce yield and impact the sustainability of cropping systems.  The PreDicta B suite of tests reports the incidence of;

  • Take-All
  • Rhizoctonia
  • Crown Rot
  • Cereal Cyst Nematode,
  • Root Lesion Nematode (both Pratylenchus neglectus    and Pratylenchus thornei
  • Black Spot of field peas.
